1943
The idea to create a baking company is born. The name Bimbo appears for the first time.
1945
The company Bimbo S.A. is created. The Bimbo Bear Cub becomes the Company’s logo. The first products launched into the market are: cellophane wrapped large and small white loafs of bread, rye bread and toasted bread.
1954
Bimbo starts its Social Responsibilities activities by earmarking a percentage of profits to open and maintain a school
1955
BIMBO On its tenth Anniversary Bimbo had: 700 associates and 140 Vehicles

1964
Bimbo acquires the rightsfor the Sunbeam brand in Mexico from Quality Bakers of America.
1972
Bimbo installs the largest bakery in Latin America and one of the ten largest in the world in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City.
1974
The Tía Rosa sweet bread appears with Banderillas, Doraditas and Orejas
1979
Bimbo comprised by:

1984
Bimbo starts its expansion by exporting to the United States of America.
1995
Grupo Bimbo acquires Coronado, a company devoted to make candied goat milk-based products.
1998
Bimbo acquires the American bakery 
"Mrs Baird's".
2001
Grupo Bimbo acquires Plus Vita and Pullman in Brazil
2002
Grupo Bimbo acquired the West region baking business of George Weston Limited -owner of the Oroweat brand- in the United States.
2005
Grupo Bimbo acquires Chocolates La Corona and the El Globo bakery.
2006
Grupo Bimbo acquires the bakery Panrico in Beijing initiating its presence in the Asian market.
2008
Grupo Bimbo buys the Nutrella bakeryin Brazil.
2009
Grupo Bimbo acquired George Weston Foods Ltd in the United States.
2010
Grupo Bimbo acquired Dulces Vero in México.
2011
Grupo Bimbo becomes the largest baking company in the world when acquiring Sara Lee North American Fresh Bakery, Fargo in Argentina and Bimbo Iberia in Spain and Portugal.
2012
Grupo Bimbo completed the largest and most important renewable energy conversion by a company in the global food industry.
2013
The First Ecologic Sales Center from the largest worldwide bakery company is launched to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, easing the effects of the climate change. 
The Ecologic Sales Center will be powered from the energy produced in the Piedra Larga Windfarm.
This effort positions Grupo Bimbo as a modern and innovative company, firmly committed to protecting the environment.
